President’s DNA Initiative

The President’s DNA Initiative provides funding, training, and assistance to ensure that forensic DNA reaches its full potential to solve crimes, protect the innocent, and identify missing persons.

WVU Forensic Science Initiative, with assistance of the President?s DNA Initiative, provides free training to practicing forensic scientists in state and local agencies. Some of the courses and programs that are offered are:

• Basic Collection of Biological Evidence Course
• Hair Evaluation for DNA Analysis Course
• Forensic Biology and DNA Continuing Education Program
